Kumeu Village Pinot Noir wine displays a bright cherry red /burgundy colour with lifted red fruit aromas. On the palate the wine is cool, round and fruity and with a nice hint of chalky tannin that keeps the wine dry and refreshing.
2018 was Kumeu Villages first vintage from Rays Road and Kumeu Villages were excited by the potential we saw with the Pinot Noir. Now, from the excellent 2022 vintage Kumeu Villages have consolidated that quality expectation, and this year have blended the grapes from Rays Road with some outstanding richer Kumeu fruit with delicious results.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER
The Brajkovich Family, owners of Kumeu River Wines, are focused on and internationally recognised as producing world class Chardonnay.
Kumeu River encompasses 30 hectares of vineyards, which are predominantly clay soils overlying sandstone. These soils retain sufficient water at depth, even during the summer months, to ensure the vine roots continue to hydrate the vine without excessive vigour. The vineyard doesn’t require irrigation, a factor that is critical to the quality of Kumeu River’s wines. All of the grapes are harvested by hand, and whole-bunch pressed to extract the juice.
