Guillaume and Joëlle Vrignaud identify this little part of their holdings in the 1er cru of Fourchaume as producing the best and most expressive Chardonnay fruit. Now with some bottle age the wine is singing whilst always retaining the Chablis identity. Elegant and concentrated with notes of mandarin and golden apple, balanced by a saline acidity. Delicately floral, with bright pineapple and apricot aromas. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a mouth-coating, voluptuous texture that avoids seeming fat or heavy, then eases into a long, silky finish.

Prominent pear and lime fruit aromas and flavours are brought beautifully into focus by a tight line of bright natural acid and a long, dry minerality. An elegant, yet textured and intense wine with a strong personality of both place and vintage.

A blend of 45% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon and 17% Cabernet Franc, this is quite an exuberant Potensac. A cracking buy. A well balanced and integrated wine, it has fantastic intensity alongside great freshness.
