Château Routas Red

A brilliant red colour. The nose is first dominated by very ripe red fruits with small berries, and also cherry and spices. Then it exults soft and discreet overtone of vanilla, mixed with cherry and laurel. The mouth is large, but the structure is harmonious. The finish is slightly spicy. Perfect with meats, pasta and soft complex cheeses.

The location of Chateau Routas in the Coteaux Varois en Provence region is spectacular; in the heart of Provence, equidistant from the French Riviera on the Mediterranean coast and the foothills of the Alps. It is surrounded by tiny medieval villages that cling to steep cliffs and overlooks miles of spectacular hillsides, woods and rivers.
The 642-acre property includes 135 acres of strategically planted vineyard parcels that create a mosaic throughout the rocky, heavily-wooded terrain in this unspoiled,high-elevation sector of Provence.
