£26.99
14% | 750ml
Chateau Joanin Becot in 2020 this is particularly good, with expressive blackberry, black plum fruit and minty notes adding lift and complexity. With a great location in the town of Saint-Philippe d’Aiguilhe, Château Joanin Bécot is one of the most beautiful references of the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux.
The Château Joanin Bécot vineyard is spread over nearly 15 hectares of 40-year-old vines planted in a great clay-limestone soil with asterias.
Manual harvest with 3 stages of sorting (2 sortings before destemming, 1 after). Vinification in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats. Vatting for around 30 days. Malolactic fermentation in vats. Ageing was carried out in new barrels (50%), in second-fill barrels (10%), in vats (25%) and in amphorae (15%).
The Château Joanin Bécot 2020 is made from a blend of Merlot (90%) and Caberet Franc (10%).
