Albarino, Pazo Pondal

TASTING NOTE
Elegant symphony of aromas, where very subtile
floral notes appear, accompanied by different fruits in
which highlights the lemon pear, white peach and
citrus, in turn mark the personality some aromatic
plants, which are mixed with saline and mineral
touch. The density mouth with a broad and very fresh
passage due to its acid character. Salinity and
fruitiness stand out pleasantly, marking their
personality, their end is persistent.

VINEYARD INFORMATION
Our Premium brand. Grapes selected for Pazo Pondal come from Leira Longa, a lower
altitude plot that provides less acidity, more body, and greater concentration in the
wines. It is characterised by its shallow, acidic granite soils with a pH of 5.8. It is the only
estate using a traditional trellis system, which allows greater aeration of the bunches
and protects them from direct sunlight.
It is one of the winery’s oldest plots and its grapes were harvested at optimum maturity
on 26 and 27 September. The soils are high in organic matter that compensates for the
shallowness of the soil (30-40 cm) and improves the retention of water and nutrients.

VINIFICATION
Viticulture and traditional processing, partially
ecological through soil regeneration. The vineyards
are carefully treated without herbicides using natural
fertilizers made in the cellar with remains of grape
bagasse. Selected plots of old strains over 30 years
old. The wine a%er fermentation with native yeasts is
aged on its own fine lees for 8 months.
