Keith manages the vast wine portfolio owned by the Murray Family.
As well as Cockburns of Leith, the private client company, he oversees the Murray family’s ownership of Jessiaume Vineyard in Santenay, Burgundy, and Chateau Routas, a huge wine estate in Var, Provence.
Keith provides strong leadership and direction on all fronts, driving up quality and best practice amongst all the portfolio. Cockburns of Leith Scotland’s oldest wine merchants who supplied Sir Walter Scott and Robbie Burns from 1796, has been re-positioned to focus on the needs of individual customers, providing a bespoke private client service at no extra cost.
Jessiaume has been in the Murray Family since 2006 and Keith has focused on bringing the Jessiaume harvest to organic production, utilising the delicate skills of winemaker William Waterkeyn, who produces a style of supremely elegant burgundies, beautifully crafted.
Chateau Routas was purchased in 2005, and produces around 240,000 bottles of wine, using Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsualt, Viognier and Chardonnay grapes. The Routas Rose is the quintessential Provencal Rose, and is a multi-award winner, achieving 93 points from James Suckling for the 2018 vintage. The Routas Red which is a blend of Grenache Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most stunning ‘go-to’ wines under £10.
