Charlie Shentall

Charlie Shentall has been in and around wine for over 30 years.

He owned and managed two country house hotels in Scotland, and selected the wines for his clients, managing the wine lists, one of which had over 300 labels including 16 house wines.

He was the Managing Director of Irvine Robertson wines, which he eventually sold to Wine Importers. Taking over the reins from Tom Gilbey, he heads up Cockburns of Leith and personally looks after all their private clients, as well as a number of wholesale accounts. He is totally customer focused, and will always put his clients needs to the fore, his interest lies with the client receiving the very best service, and the very best wines he can find to suit their needs.

Charlie has a wide portfolio of interest and is, currently, is a Director of The Lodge at Perth Racecourse, which he oversaw the building of, advises the Racecourse on hospitality as well as sitting as a Member of the Board at College UHI, as Chair of Air Service Training (Engineering) Ltd at Perth Airport and as a Judge on the Scottish Rural Awards.
